As I look around I see so many things I would like to paint. Sometimes there’s a beautiful flower or the flow of a graceful dancer that I want to capture. I try to paint what I see and how it makes me feel. Maybe it’s the drama of light or shadows as it hits a building or room, or the majesty of a landscape with snow covered mountains or distant flowers.
I like to paint in series or multiple paintings with a specific theme. I’ve painted a French bakery and framed it as a tryptic and ballet dancers in motion or in thought. Other series are of orchids, spring flowers, porches in shadow or landscapes. I hope my viewers can feel the beauty I see and appreciate what is all around us.
